    I find it quite interesting that a video with such high quality animations can simultaneously have such a poorly written script with so many simple spelling and grammatical errors. 🤔

    This is also an excellent example of the difference between the Mercedes M113 and M156 AMG engines. Both absolutely phenomenal engines, but slightly different flavors 😉

    I don't understand how volumetric efficiency increases in dohc, I mean cant we increase the valve lift in sohc too. Sohc can operate 4 valves too. If the goal is too open the valves for more duration it can be done in sohc.How dohc helps them?

    This goes to show how thermally inefficient internal combustion engines are how much energy is wasted as heat. An gasoline engine is only about 25 to 35 percent efficient a diesel is about 35 to 45 percent efficient the rest of the energy is wasted as heat that just gets dumped out the radiator and noise out the exhaust. For example in a natural gas power plants the heat from the gas turbine engines and theor exhaust is captured to boil water and produce steam to also power a steam turbine making the system about 65 percent efficient. An electric vehicle battery and motors combined there abot 65 percent efficient also much better then internal combustion engines. The one pro of this waste heat is that like mentioned at the end of the video in the winter it's put to use to heat the vehicle interior but if you can imagine that's not enough to cool the engine down and keep it at operating temperature the thermost still opens and the radiator fan still turns on belching out heat even in the cold winter with the heat on full blast that how thermally inefficient these dinosaurs are.

    How many of you here know nouthing about cars and are fascinated? Did you even learn this in school? Are you shocked they don't even teach this in science in schools?

  • @mattdaddy_888
    @mattdaddy_888 3 місяці тому

    It's sad how they don't even teach this kind of basic knowledge in middle or high schools like seriously. Why isn't it part of the science curriculum? In some school districts the science curriculum is so bad they teach you woke BS science that men can get pregnant and climate alarmisim hysteria. Not to mention drag queens or pedoph!les as i like to call them teaching elementary school kids how to twerk and confusing them about their gender but i digress. P.S when i was in middle school I even saw a whole section and diagram of how 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines work in my 7th grade science textbook and yet we didn't even cover it we skipped it. It was a chapter on something about energy and power. It was a nice diagram too a girl holding a 2 stroke leaf blower with the parts inside of it labeled terms like "piston" "compression" "ignotion" and "power" and the next page had a diagram kinda like this video of a 4 stroke inline 4 engine and all the parts and how it works.

    great explanation...you can read book of 150 parges how work engine which will take time and you also forget the book after a day....2 problems..while video of 7 min can be understood in like 20 min , depend who is the teacher also..some teacher salso through video will mess your mind, very smart teachers can pass a concept , even through a book in few pages , like short code in programing ..so the teacher is key in life...he will short you years of learning

    the water pump inlet hose doesn't even exist in an actual cooling system the water pump is usually bolted onto the front of the engine block and pumps the coolant throughout the engine block but the water pump is never usually outside of the engine block like shown in this animation.
